Christmas Mulled Wine Party 2008The traditional CUWO Mulled Wine Party was held on Dec 5, 2008. An encouraging total of about 50 participants attended the party including old and new members with their spouses, kids, and friends. As one of the essential elements of the party over the years, Gillian Poon again demonstrated her mastery of mulled wine making which participants enjoyed so much.

A selection of hot food and Christmas snacks were contributed by participants and pleasantly served. A nice touch of the party was added by the performance of Carolyn, her daughter, and her friend. Their flute trio brought us a festive Christmas atmosphere and a warm sense of community.

The lucky draw session brought the
party to its climax. All kids got something nice and fun. They couldn't help being engaged with their new toys right away.

The lucky adults who won a gift also generously showed their joy with a smile.

The party was wrapped up by the session of Christmas carol singing led by Gillian Poon and Joan Huang and accompanied by Tanya, Amelia, and Tuoyuan. Needless to say, all participants contributed their voice and happiness in this singing session.
Those who were in the party should have brought home the joy they shared and some nice memory.
CNY Coffee Morning Gathering, Feb 2009
This year, there was only a short break between Christmas and Chinese New Year. We still managed to have a small but warm celebration for CNY during out February coffee morning. With enthusiastic contributions from all participants, the potluck gathering became a feast in which we tried a range of different dishes ranging from typical CNY food, Korean food, homemade bread and cookies, desserts, and so on.
There are a lot more photos taken in the above gatherings. Please go to the links on the right to browse the full albums.
